how the mighty sumo wrestler teamed up with the spirit when he was lost and wandering in the desert is not important…everyone has their own version of the story, anyway, and none of them are true…what matters is that they finally found water
driving all day, they passed the hours making a list of things and people that are bogus
they got lost on their holiday
maybe she was a mystic...each had crossed their own desert...and she enchanted them with a view from higher ground
she and Trigger went ridin' through them movies...just like in the song

The interrogation
he walked to meet the earth and see all he could see
this place did not appear on his map
he found a way out

Statement

My photographs are made with prefabricated plastic figures (approx 2cm in height) set in natural wilderness and human-made landscapes. The effort is to create a narrative scene on a micro scale that emerges through arrangement of the objects and photography. These scenes become meaningful through the act of photographing them. It is the photograph that makes the scene visible and establishes the possibility of a narrative. I am using small HO scale figures to create what might called a "photographic diorama". They are attempts to make images that initiate a larger narrative in the mind of the viewer.
